Starting February 1st, 2022 sanitation rates on the water bills will go from $15 per month to $18 per month, therefore, making the minimum bill go from $66.00 to $69.00
This ordinance was introduced in December of 2021, and in January the town held a public hearing for the citizens to voice their questions and concerns. After much discussion and many meetings, we will be increasing the sanitation rate after the council passed ordinance 16 of 2021. In addition, Republic will have a yearly 3% increase, which will increase the sanitation rate by 3% each year.
$18.00 is a very good rate compared to other vendors who pay upwards of $30.00 per month. We want to thank the public for understanding.
