Fire Services The Haughton Fire Department is a professional department operated on a 24 hour basis. In addition to professional firefighters, our department accepts volunteers and depends heavily on their support to maintain the department. Our department is deeply dedicated to providing the best care possible for our residents.
EMS The Haughton Fire Department provides first response at levels ranging from EMR to Advanced Life Support. The Haughton Fire Department does not provide medical transport and works closely with Bossier Parish EMS to provide this service to our residents.
Fire Prevention The mission of the Fire Prevention Division is to help reduce fire injuries and fire deaths within our community by creating public awareness and providing effective programs in different areas that pertain to fire and life safety. The Haughton Fire Department participates in the Operation Save a Life program through the Louisiana State Fire Marshal’s Office to provide smoke detectors at no cost to citizens. To utilize this service please contact the department at (318) 949-9500. Training The Haughton Fire Department provides general training classes every Tuesday night at 6:30 PM at our central station. At Haughton Fire we are able to take advantage of LSU’s FETI Pine Country campus located in west-central Webster parish. Louisiana State University’s Fire & Emergency Training Institute provides superior training opportunities for firefighters and EMS personnel throughout the state of Louisiana.
