Hello Everyone. ... What an honor it is to serve as your Mayor. Our town is on the cusp of some big changes. When the 2020 census is released, there is a good chance that we will have the population numbers to qualify us as a city. Our town is growing and the rate of growth is increasing. New businesses are very interested in Haughton. We want them to come and grow with us. With the upgrade to Hwy. 157 and the relocation of Hwy. 3227, the number of new homes scheduled to be built in the area, commercial development on the drawing boards, and the completion of the interchange into Barksdale Air Force Base at I-220, we are in position for Hwy. 157 to become the next great North/South corridor in Bossier Parish and Northwest Louisiana. The Town is actively upgrading our infrastructure to meet the changes on the horizon. We want to share in this experience with you, our fellow citizens. And to those of you who are looking for a great place to settle down and raise a family, then we encourage you to “C’mon Home to Haughton”.
